Hi, Iām Cindy!
I am a wife, a mom, a sister, a friend. I have learned that movement and being outdoors is nurturing to me. I enjoy hiking, biking, jogging and yoga. My desire is to continue the path towards wholeness in all areas of my life.
I have learned (and continue to learn) how to allow my pain, understand it and also release it. The fruit of this has been freedom from childhood traumas, adult traumas and generational burdens.
My work continues to evolve and is an authentic reflection of who I am as a person and professional trauma specialist. My approach is a tapestry of personal and professional experiences, making my practice unique by focusing on holistic wellness, healing from trauma, and continuing personal development and growth.
My education as a Registered Nurse is rooted in a Holistic Model approach, which has equipped me to see the whole person physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Furthering my education in science gave me a deeper, more complex understanding of the body. This has propelled my work in relation to the brain, endocrine system, the nervous system, psychopharmocolgy, nutrition and exercise in addition to counseling when considering each clients needs towards wholeness. This means that patients in my care not only have access to a licensed counselor and therapist; they have the benefit of working with a medical professional that can assess all areas surrounding mental health and the physical body.
From the beginning of my nursing career I have been aware of the privilege of being invited into another persons life exactly where they are and it still humbles me in my work. My belief is that it takes great courage and effort for anyone to initiate counseling, and my heart is to create a customized approach, consistently learn as a clinician and practice wholeness in all areas of my own life.
